Connecticut PEG people at the national ACM conference

Jennifer Evans (West Hartford), Susan Huizenga (Wallingford), Sandra Austin Goldstein, and Scott & Jackie Allo (Newington) all attended the nation conference of the Alliance for Community Media in Chicago at the end of June 2022. One evening was devoted to the Hometown Media Awards.

Team Hercules of Wallingford Public Access TV & Community Center received an award in the category Public Access Overall Excellence Award (for centers with annual budgets under $300,000) for their 2021 Annual Report.

Team Hercules Youth (different team, WPAA-TV again) received another in the student category Access and Empowerment for “When I Speak Freely by BennFL” and in the student category Access Program Promo for “No Need to Knock.”

Sandy Austin Goldstein and Scott Allo of Newington Community TV received on for their all-volunteer center in the category Community Impact, for the Public Service Announcement “Alcohol Poisoning: When Drinking Turns Dangerous.”
